Canon E-TTL worskhop
Thu May 10 2012 - 6:30 pm - 9:30
3 Hour intermediate workshop for a maximum of 8 participants
Why you should attend this workshop;
You paid a premium price for your Canon flash because you needed one! But using it was hard, it did not even do what you expected it would. Reading the manual did not give you a clue, it only told you how to change things but not why. This workshop will teach you how it works and explains why to make changes in your camera and your flash settings. This workshop will demystify E-TTL and you will experience how to use your expensive flash the way is was designed for in E-TTL mode.
What it is:
A workshop for Canon camera owners on how to setup your camera and flash (Not the pop-up flash) using a Canon 540 EX II flash or Canon 430 EX or 430 EX II flash in E-TTL mode. This is the Evaluative Thru The Lens metering method often used by wedding photographers, reporters and event photographers. It is not an off camera flash workshop. The main focus is to explain the working of your camera and flash in different exposure modes and the controls you can use to manage the exposure. This workshop will focus on the technical knowledge needed to make your camera work with your flash in E-TTL mode while on or off camera.
What it’s not:
This workshop is not geared towards other brands like Nikon or Sony. This workshop will not focus on off-camera flash however we will use off-camera flash gear like a light-stand and swivel. Lighting scenarios and associated techniques will no be be explained.
Assumed knowledge:
How to change your cameras aperture, shutter-speed, ISO and how to set the Av, TV and M mode.

Comments from the previous workshop:
-Thanks Klaas for a great workshop. I learned alot, you are a great teacher, very knowledgeable, and your workshops are alot of fun!
-Klaas shared a LOT of information with the class. It was so much information that it went to 3 hours instead of the scheduled 2 1/2 hours.
-Klaas explained CANON E-TTL in an easy to understand way. I will finally be able to use my 580EX-II more to its potential. I will definitely take more classes.
-Klaas is a great instructor. His teaching skills makes it easy to learn and clarifies a confusing subject. Class size gave you the ability to have some individual attention and work together in teams.
-Very good class but would like to have it a little longer for more info getting passed on.
